Baby foods
Inevitably, the "week x" e-mail, Web page, or chapter in a book will attempt to compare the current size and perhaps shape of your growing child to food. So far ours has been (roughly in reverse order, although I might argue with the sizes of the food these writers are eating):
  • At 21 weeks, I think I've run out of foods! At least until we're up to melon size. :-) The Discovery Channel's "Conception to Birth" show called it a squirrel. Some people eat squirrel, so maybe that counts?
  • small zucchini
  • large sweet potato (18 weeks)
  • large onion
  • avocado
  • peach (14 weeks)
  • lemon
  • jumbo shrimp
  • lime
  • fig (Apr. 26 - 11 wks)
  • walnut (Apr. 22)
  • kumquat (Apr. 21)
  • cocktail shrimp (Apr. 18)
  • strawberry
  • grape
  • kidney bean
  • raspberry
  • small olive
  • green pea

I'll keep updating the list as it grows, at least until we get to "large watermelon"!
